Become a Liturgical Minister

Newman is in need of more people to assist during Masses by becoming Liturgical Ministers. Ministers include: Lectors, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Alter Servers, Ushers, and Sacristans. For a brief overview of the duties involved in each ministry please visit the Liturgical Ministers web-page under the "Worship" tab. If you are interested in volunteering please fill out the convenient online form, or email Fr. Camaioni at frcamaioni@newmanniu.org, or call 815-787-7770, or finally talk to any priest after any Mass.

Knights of Columbus Lenten Fish Fry

Join the Knights of Columbus each Friday at 5 p.m. in the Knox Community Room throughout the Lenten season!  Featured on the menu will be Tilapia and Louisiana Shrimp Boil, along with your choice of potatoes, vegetables, salad and homemade desserts.

All are welcome to come and enjoy this delicious taste treat.

The final Lenten Fish Fry will be on March 30.

"Catholicism" A Journey to the Heart of the Catholic Faith

Join us this semester for Fr. Robert Barron's "Catholicism," an engaging 10-part series that has aired on 70 public television stations.  The format will be film and discussion, on Thursdays, beginning on February 2nd. The sessions will be at 10-11:30 AM or repeating at 6:30-8:00 PM. Facilitators for the AM session will be Fr. Camaioni and Maria Alderson.
