Chris' Crew - Benefit Spaghetti Dinner, Friday, 2/10, 4-7PM, at DeKalb High School
Christopher Canaday, 5th Grader at Brooks Elementary School and son of parishioners Mark and Amy Canaday, was born with Pulmonary Atresia, a congenital heart defect. He is getting ready for his 23rd surgery and proceeds from this dinner will go towards his care. Tickets for this dinner are available at Castle Bank, Brooks Elementary School and DeKalb High School. Your dinner ticket is also valid for the DHS vs. Kaneland basketball game which will tip of at 7:00PM. "Everyday we are blessed to watch Christopher learning, growing and helping others. Daily Mass Schedule for 2/6 - 2/8
Our priests will be attending the Diocesan Clergy Conference and there WILL NOT be a 12:05PM Mass on Monday, February 6th, Tuesday, February 7th and Wednesday, February 8th. On Monday and Tuesday there WILL BE a Communion Service at 12:05PM.Mass will be offered as usual on Wednesday, February 8th at 9:00PM and the 12:05PM Mass will resume on Thursday, February 9th.

"Catholicism" A Journey to the Heart of the Catholic Faith
Join us this semester for Fr. Robert Barron's "Catholicism," an engaging 10-part series that has aired on 70 public television stations. The format will be film and discussion, on Thursdays, beginning on February 2nd. The sessions will be at 10-11:30 AM or repeating at 6:30-8:00 PM. Facilitators for the AM session will be Fr. Camaioni and Maria Alderson. Facilitators for the PM session will be Paul Crawford and Maria Alderson. All are welcome. For more information, email Fr. Camaioni at frcamaioni@newmanniu.org

2nd Annual Newman Chili Cook-off Competition
The second annual Newman Chili Cook-off competition is being held on January 29th after the Noon Mass. Sign-up to enter by January 23rd and compete for cash prizes and the prestigious NEWMAN'S CHOICE AWARD! Entry fee is ten dollars per chili. Or, if you want to stay warm on a "chili" afternoon and love to eat home-made chilli then please plan to attend. The cost is ten dollars. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
